I love wearing multiple hats. I have always known that I needed my life to include many facets. And I never wanted to be defined as just one thing. When asked if I am a wife or a mother, or do I consider myself a career woman, I am happy that the answer is a resounding, “yes.” I love that my average day can include so many things, some planned and some unforeseen – school duties, a professional meetup over coffee, a more formal business meeting, something social and/or personal errands – some planned and some unforeseen. I need to make sure my outfit goes with any “hat” I may need to wear in a given day. I am always on the look out for versatile pieces that allow me to look appropriate no matter what ends up on my to-do list.

So, when SUAVS Shoes wanted me to try a pair of their shoes, I was excited. And after spending a day wearing them IRL, I can say they exceed my expectations. First off, they are cute. If we are being totally honest, I will suffer for fashion, usually in the form of my footwear. I don’t care how comfortable or practical something is. If it isn’t cute, I will not wear it. And these are seriously cute. I love the digital knit fabric (like mesh only cooler and better for the environment #zerowaste). I have the navy pair and the color is so pretty. The come in great colors too (my next pair was going to be the marshmallow or olive-green ones, but now I am contemplating this high-top pair). They are unbelievably comfortable. I loved the look of the skinny white sole, but I was afraid that it would be too skinny to really be cushioning. Any doubts on comfort proved to be unfounded. My feet stayed pain and discomfort free the entire day.

In these photos, I had to go from a sporting event at my third grader’s school to a board meeting for an organization I am involved in. We did nothing but relax over the weekend and ran no errands, so I was forced to go grocery shopping while my husband finally tackled the laundry. To top it all off, Texas gifted us with one of its much memed temperamental weather days that includes all four seasons in the span of a few hours. I decided to play with the color on my new Madewell pants (can’t find my exact pair online, but this is cute option. They are made of heavy enough material that works for lower temps, but the fun color scheme is suitable for spring/summer weather. Plus, I liked how the navy of the Suavs really pulled out the purple blue of the pants. For my casual look, I wore a sweater from Target’s Who What Wear line and changed into a pink J Crew button down for my meetings. I borrowed Jennifer’s pink velvet J Crew blazer and finished the whole thing with my vintage Gucci tote bag I purchased on eBay. It was great not having to lug around another pair of shoes in order to transition from classroom to boardroom. SUAVS Shoes lightened my load while allowing me to look stylish and appropriate in a variety of settings.
