I love tie dye. Seriously, how can anyone be sad when you are a walking prism of rainbow bright colors. These are pictures were taken at my 3rd birthday in August of 1975 and remains my favorite bathing suits of all time.

I was able to buy a something similar from Victoria’s Secret in the early 90’s. It had a low back and high cut legs that was all the rage. Think Baywatch meets the Grateful Dead. I also proudly wore Dead tee shirts around this time too.

Tie dye tees have been a staple in my wardrobe ever since. Making them is fun – even more fun when you have kiddos! They are a staple in thrift stores. Tip: look in the men’s section for oversized ones. I am currently looking for one large and boxy enough to wear as a dress.

Now that tie dye has become a full-fledged trend (again), I have found it easier to incorporate into my work wardrobe and I had a lot of fun styling these two office looks using the tie dye trend!

The first one is a bit of a cheat. This is my new favorite Topshop midi skirt that features a tie-dyed inspired pattern more than traditional tie dye itself. The muted colors are a nice change from the sherbert hues and vibrant colors found in a lot of tie dye. I paired it with a moto style jacket I purchased from Aritzia years ago with a satin cami underneath. I accessorized the look with my Cataleya Daisy purse and my favorite Malone Souliers pumps.

The second look features a full-blown, psychedelic, homemade by yours truly tie dye tee shirt, coupled with a white blazer and wide leg jeans. I felt Bianca Jagger meets Janis Joplin (two of my ultimate girl crushes) in this outfit. Two people at the office told me that this outfit made them smile and that is always such a great compliment! I aslo happened to accessorized this outfit with my other Cataleya London bag – not planned! I just really love these bags.

Here are a few pieces I would love to add to my closet.

These tie dye Dannijo satin slip dresses are dreamy and I want both – blue and rainbow.

Love this less expensive slip dress. The mini length is great for summer.

Tie dye satin skirt for only $30. You’re welcome.

Tis the season for a tie dye sarong.

Or a tye die bathing suit.

These fun leggings will motivate me to get out of bed and run even when I don’t want to.

Adding a tie dye headband to my collection pronto.

A tie dye blazer?!?! Yes please!
