Because I work in a very casual environment, I get to have fun with my style at the office. With cold days looming ahead, I wanted to come up with an alternative to sweaters, but still stay cozy. I do tend to buy fun, fashionable, vintage, even designer – insert eyeroll emoji here – sweatshirts, but I usually only wear them with jeans or sweatpants on the weekend in some sort of half-hearted attempt at stylish mom athleisure wear.  Jane at Sea of Shoes is someone whose style I admire and whose blog and Instagram I check daily. When I am stuck in a fashion rut, she is one of the first bloggers I turn to for inspiration. I was so excited when I saw her post on unique and different ways to wear sweatshirts and immediately knew I had to recreate her Pencil Skirt + Cheeky Sweatshirt outfit. It reminded me of my vintage Mickey Mouse “You Are Not The Boss Of Me” one that I have had for years (bonus that it is a nod to my SoCal roots!). I paired it with a black pencil skirt from Asos, and Chanel sling backs that I scored on eBay and went to work feeling cozy, put together, fashion forward, and well, just a little bit cheeky…. Now let’s see what my boss thinks!
