For those days when you don’t have the time or the desire to put a lot of thought into your outfit, but you still want to look polished…. just one of the reasons why I love wearing suits. And while I have a few more classic pantsuits in my closet, I had yet to find a skirt suit that didn’t make me feel like Melanie Griffin in Working Girl (I love that vibe but isn’t what I was going for this time). Enter this sweet two-piece skirt suit from Halogen. It features more of a jacket, almost trench coat, than the traditional blazer topper, which was just the different take on this classic wardrobe staple I was looking for. Not to mention the ruffle front and playful fabric keeps the outfit from being too stuffy – it is the perfect combination of sophistication and charm. I added two of my favorite second-hand scores. I found both the Chanel pumps and broach for around $200 each! The pencil skirt as endless uses and I love how the jacket looks with jeans. I cannot wait to get creative with these pieces!
