“Two moms, three boys, multiple hats, endless outfits and way too many shoes….” it’s more than a tagline. It’s how two friends with a penchant for style and a love of fashion approach their everyday lives.
After years – seriously it’s been five years – of talking about launching a fashion blog, we finally came out from behind the camera to make this dream a reality. Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday to raise a glass to us and with us, as we kicked off this passion project known as A Fashionating Life, a fashion & lifestyle blog featuring a mix of high-end and affordable pieces with modern interpretations of classic styles.
Chronicling the lives and looks of two chic, mid-career moms, A Fashionating Life explores the intersection of real life and editorial inspiration that go from the boardroom to the classroom, from work to play.
We were so excited to team up with Dress for Success Austin for Sunday’s launch, with proceeds from sales during our party benifitting this wonderful organization that puts women in wardrobes to enter the workplace and get back on their feet, supporting themselves and their families.
We know that we are very fortunate to have the careers, the support, and the means to have a full wardrobe, and since both of us have a background in non-profit, we always knew we wanted to use our blog for a purpose greater than ourselves and our closets. We couldn’t think of a more perfect partner for our blog, which is all about empowering women with confidence through clothing.
